It is a time for miracles and making dreams come true, especially for these displaced children.
Program's description:
Grassroots Response is providing Christmas presents for Ukrainian children. We gather wish lists from parents, and our volunteers subsequently procure, wrap, and deliver presents to each family's doorstep.
For the majority of them, this festive season will mark their first experience of Christmas in Canada. Let's seize this opportunity to create a fairytale for these young Ukrainians and their parents.

Over 520 gifts were packed and sent to the children.
Heartfelt gratitude to the local community groups and businesses that helped to ensure we had enough gifts for children:
Onion Honey Hootenanny concert, Guelph JR Gryphons U13 AAA, and Bo De Sweets, plus generous food donations from the Kitchener Farmers Market. Special thanks to the team that pulled together this project in 2 weeks with Leanne Swantko coordinating.
