This meeting is focused on creating better supports for Ukrainian guests and hosts as well as the creating a settlement team around Hillside Residence.

New weekly meetings
We are constantly reshuffling and adapting to the needs of the Ukrainians coming to Waterloo Region as well as supporting the hosts that have opened up their doors.
The next few weeks we will focus more of our time on discussing the teams focused on these main areas.
Discussions will be on the process and steps we take when welcoming Ukrainians to our organization and as they come into Waterloo Region, the steps and supports we connect them with after they arrive in Waterloo Region, as well as the onboarding and long-term support offered to hosts.
In addition to this we will have time to discuss the specific needs of the new Hillside Residence (12 bedrooms space that is helping 22 Ukrainians by providng a safe place and connecting them with services). Families will be coming to Hillside shortly and we need to ensure we have volunteers able to help them transition into Waterloo Region and connect them with local services.
