About the event
Join us for a culinary workshop where we'll prepare traditional Ukrainian Borscht. This iconic beet soup can be made with beef (or pork, chicken, mushrooms, or fish) and features cabbage, potatoes, carrots, garlic, and dill. The borscht is finished with a dollop of sour cream and served alongside rye bread.
Ukrainian borscht has been included in the
𝐔𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐎 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 as a Ukrainian dish. This happened in 2022, after collecting borscht recipes from different regions of Ukraine, which proved their Ukrainian origin.
Guided by Chef Svitlana Kuchinka from Ukraine, the kitchen will transform into a culinary stage. She will skillfully direct the class, offering instructions, answering questions, and revealing her secrets for perfect borscht.
