About the event

Embark on a journey of empathy and solidarity at our fundraising event, where we will amplify the voices of Ukrainian 'refugees' who have found solace in Canada amidst the turmoil of war.

Join us for an evening of poignant storytelling, insightful updates, and unwavering support for those fleeing the conflict in Ukraine and seeking refuge in our country.

Date: June 7

Time: 7:00 pm

Location: 15 Michael St, Kitchener, ON N2G 1L7, Canada

Be inspired as you listen to the success stories of Ukrainian newcomers who have bravely navigated adversity and found hope in Canadian communities. From tales of resilience to accounts of perseverance, their experiences will serve as a testament to the indomitable human spirit in the face of adversity. Most people do not realize that Ukrainians coming to Canada with a CUAET Visa are not recognized as refugees and do not receive the same support.

Gain firsthand insights into the challenges that Ukrainian newcomers have encountered on their journey to safety. Through heartfelt narratives, they will share the obstacles they have overcome and the hurdles they continue to face as they rebuild their lives in a new homeland. Their stories will shed light on the ongoing need for support and solidarity from compassionate allies like you.

In addition, hear updates directly from frontline soldiers and volunteers in Ukraine, who selflessly dedicate themselves to defending their homeland and assisting those affected by the conflict. Through their courageous accounts, they will remind us of the urgency of the situation and the importance of standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

As we listen to their stories and updates, let us heed their plea: "Do not forget." The journey of Ukrainian newcomers does not end upon reaching Canadian shores; they continue to need our support as they navigate the challenges of resettlement and rebuild their lives in a new country.

Your presence at this event is not only an act of solidarity but also a tangible demonstration of your commitment to supporting Ukrainians fleeing to Canada. Together, we can ensure that they receive the assistance, resources, and compassion they need to thrive and flourish in their new communities.
