Weekly volunteer and host meeting

Join our weekly meetings to receive an update on what we have been doing, to learn more about urgent tasks that need to be completed and to connect with other volunteers working on various tasks.

We invite volunteers who want to be part of the intake team, check-in team,  employment team, fundraising team, Ukrainian connect team, or our volunteer management team to attend and learn more about the role and how to complete the tasks. If you want to join now is the time.

Important Updates:

1. Lean about the CUAET Visa and the end of it on March 2023

2. We have over 35 Ukrainian families coming this month. We not only need to support these families but the host families as well. Last month we had over 20 families.

3. Update on the current Ukrainian facilities in Waterloo Region as well as an update on a potential 3rd in Perth which we need a large number of volunteers to help set-up.

4. WR Grassroots is expanding into Guelph and potentially stratford. What does this mean for our teams and capacity.

5. Information on our upcoing live events on Thur Mar 15 & Mar 22 focused on encouraging more involvment from our Religous Institutions as well as our municipalities.
