OPEN HOUSE FOR NEW UKRAINIAN GUEST HOUSE SATURDAY, JANUARY 14 (rescheduled)

Waterloo Region, Ontario. Waterloo Region Grassroots Response to the Ukrainian Crisis

(WRGR) is a group of residents in Waterloo Region who are helping support displaced people fleeing the war in Ukraine.


WRGR is pleased to announce that the Open House for the new Hillside Residence has been

rescheduled to January 14, 11am-4pm (original date of December 21 was postponed due to inclement weather). Hillside Residence is a new guesthouse in the community of Maryhill, located at 44 St. Charles St. E., with 13 spaces available to house newly arrived Ukrainian families.


Come and enjoy a warm drink while you tour this new home and learn more about how you can help.

Although the cost for staying at Hillside Residence is reduced, families cannot stay there free of charge. Donations to help them with these costs can easily be made on the WRGR website at

Ukrainian families.
